Amici Brief of Scholars in Law, Medicine, Health Policy and Clinical Genetics. Submitted to the Supreme Court of the United States by a group of academics led by VALGEN Investigator Dr. Richard Gold, the brief urges the Supreme Court to hear an appeal from the decision of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit to uphold certain human gene patents. The brief argues that the Federal Circuit’s approach could wreak havoc in other areas of biotechnology including agricultural biotechnology, biofuels and environmental remediation, all areas of interest to VALGEN. Read the full brief here
